Kidz Church

IMG_1885St. Philip’s is committed to helping the next generation establish and grow relationships with God, with each other, and with their community.  In order to accomplish this goal, we meet weekly to help the children take their next steps on this journey.

Welcoming New Families
If you are new to St. Philip’s, we invite you to arrive 30 minutes before the start time of the service you will be attending, then head to the information desk.  We will help you get your child checked in and walk you to their room.  We also have an elevator for your convenience.

Cry Room
IMG_1896
We expect children to make some noise.  However, if your child becomes a distraction to you, or others, feel free to use our cry room, located in the back of the sanctuary, accessible through the main lobby.  This room provides a place where you can listen and see the service, while allowing your child to cry, play, or just make some more noise.

Available at all services.

Nursery Room
Our nursery room is located downstairs.  It is open to the little ones, ages 0-3 yrs, who are NOT potty-trained.  You may drop off and sign-in your child before the service, or anytime during the service.  We have caring, experienced adults to help your young ones adjust to playing downstairs, while you remain upstairs in the service.

We do not bring the nursery children up for communion, but you are welcome to sign them out in order that they may take communion with you.

Available at the 6 PM service on Saturday and the 10 AM service on Sunday

Preschool Room
The Preschool room is located downstairs.  Here you will find a lively group of children, ages 3-PreK, who are potty-trained.  You may drop off and sign-in your child before the service begins and sign them out after the service is over.

In the preschool room, your children will have experienced adults and high school students who guide them through a basic schedule of playing, Bible story and a lesson, age-appropriate games and songs.

We do not bring the preschoolers up for communion, but you are welcome to sign them out in order that they may take communion with you.

Available at the 6 PM service on Saturday and the 10 AM service on Sunday.

K-5TH GRADE
Children 2
This age group meets downstairs weekly.  They are led downstairs, after the first worship song, to the Family Life Center and we return upstairs after the sermon in time for communion.

Twice a month, every other week, our K-5th grade students meet in a large group, where we focus on Kidz Worship.  We teach Biblical stories and lessons, play games, sing, and do various large group activities to encourage working together and in our community, while we learn about Jesus.

Small groups meet the opposite two weeks of the month.  We are currently broken up into K/1st, 2nd/3rd, and 4th/5th groups.  Each group is led by an adult.  During small groups, leaders can connect with the children on a deeper level about the week’s topic or about what is happening in the world around them.

Available at 6 PM on Saturday and 10 AM on Sunday.
